Thunderstorm asthma is a serious condition triggered by the combination of Spring grass pollens and thunderstorm activity.
In 2016 Victoria experienced a serious thunderstorm asthma event which left thousands of people struggling to breathe. People who had never had asthma before found themselves in need of urgent asthma treatment.
The National Asthma Council and Healthily teamed up to create a simple explainer animation to communicate the risks of thunderstorm asthma and how to prevent and manage exposure.
The full animation is available to GoShare users and can be sent out to patients with a bundle of resources hand picked by the National Asthma Council.
Animations are a great way to distil often complex information into an understandable and memorable resource.
